Client: Mileway

Logistics real estate business, Mileway, had an urgent need to identify all buildings within its portfolio which did not meet the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). The portfolio of largely industrial holdings spans the UK with sites of up to 25,000 sq m. In just six months, MEES Solutions completed and analysed over 340 EPCs to identify urgent, medium and long-term risks and make recommendations so that every property meets the minimum standards.

Our Approach

Mileway required a large number of holdings to be assessed within a fairly short timeframe so our priority was to work as efficiently as possible. We did this by breaking the portfolio into geographical lots and setting out a very clear assessment and reporting process. The lots were allocated throughout our team of experienced surveyors whilst the Account Manager maintained an overall picture of the national programme. The team was incredibly productive, undertaking an average of 35 assessments per week.
